Nick is a proud native of Massachusetts, hailing from a distinguished lineage of American servicemen whose combat contributions date back to the Revolutionary War. In 2006, Nick began his journey in military education at America’s oldest private military college, where he successfully completed his freshman "Rook" year. Inspired by the commitment of many classmates who enlisted in the Army to join the Global War on Terror, Nick felt a deep calling to serve a greater purpose. He enlisted in the United States Army and swiftly moved to Fort Benning, GA, where he completed basic training, advanced infantry school, and airborne school.
Over the next four years, Nick dedicated his service to the Army, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operations Enduring Freedom 9 and 10. During his time in Afghanistan, he participated in numerous direct action and support missions, undertook several air assault raids, and played a vital role in establishing three forward observation bases in the challenging terrain of the Hindu Kush mountain range. His exemplary service earned him the Combat Infantry Badge and multiple commendations.
In 2011, Nick transitioned to civilian life, joining the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department, where he distinguished himself by graduating as the top of his academy class and serving as class president. He also earned the prestigious “Top Shot” award. After a year in the main jail, Nick advanced to the Worcester Police Academy, the third largest police department in New England.
Graduating as class president in 2012, Nick quickly moved to the operations division of the Worcester Police Department, where he has received three meritorious service medals for acts of valor, including lifesaving interventions and apprehending felons. Notably, he earned the Key to the City for successfully locating and arresting a serial sex offender.
As a certified MPTC instructor in rifle, pistol, red dot, and shotgun training, as well as a certified sexual assault investigator, Nick is currently assigned to a Special Operations Unit within the department. He leverages his extensive experience as both an Infantryman and a police officer to provide students with realistic, life-saving training. Committed to continuous improvement, Nick actively trains with some of the nation’s foremost shooters and tacticians, including Kyle Lamb, Mark Smith, Scott Jedlinski, Bill Rapier, and Pat McNamara, further enhancing his expertise and knowledge in the field.
