Ben, a 19-year law enforcement veteran and lead firearms instructor, is a certified trainer in various firearms disciplines and co-authored the state red dot pistol curriculum. Nick, with over a decade in law enforcement and direct action combat, is a specialist in tactical operations and an extensively trained instructor with numerous prestigious training organizations. Their combined experience ensures our students receive top-tier firearms training.

Ben is an experienced MPTC firearms instructor with nearly two decades of dedicated service in law enforcement, beginning his career in 2004. Ben is an experienced MPTC firearms instructor with nearly two decades of dedicated service in law enforcement, beginning his career in 2004. Born and raised in central Massachusetts, Ben has currently leads the firearms program for the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department. He also serves as a police officer with the Lunenburg Police Department, where he applies his expertise to enhance community safety.
Throughout his career, Ben has taught thousands of police officers across the state of Massachusetts, playing a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of law enforcement professionals. As a co-author of the Massachusetts Police Council's Red Dot and Low Light Firearms Program, he has been instrumental in advancing training standards for law enforcement agencies statewide.
Ben has also trained extensively with Scott Jedlinski of the Modern Samurai Project, further refining his skills and knowledge in firearms instruction. With a passion for continuous improvement and professional development, he remains at the forefront of firearms education, consistently seeking innovative approaches to enhance the effectiveness and safety of law enforcement operations. His dedication to excellence in training has made him a respected figure in the field, contributing significantly to the overall mission of public safety in Massachusetts.
Nick, a Massachusetts native from a long line of American servicemen, began his military journey at America’s oldest private military college before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He completed basic and advanced infantry training at Fort Benning, GA, and served four years, deploying to Afghanistan for Operations Enduring Freedom 9 and 10. He
Nick, a Massachusetts native from a long line of American servicemen, began his military journey at America’s oldest private military college before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He completed basic and advanced infantry training at Fort Benning, GA, and served four years, deploying to Afghanistan for Operations Enduring Freedom 9 and 10. He earned the Combat Infantry Badge and multiple commendations for his role in direct action missions and establishing forward observation bases.
After leaving the military in 2011, Nick joined the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department, graduating at the top of his academy class and earning the “Top Shot” award. He then moved to the Worcester Police Department, where he received three meritorious service medals and the Key to the City for apprehending a serial sex offender.
Currently assigned to a Special Operations Unit, Nick is an MPTC-certified instructor in rifle, pistol, red dot, and shotgun training, as well as a certified sexual assault investigator. He continues to enhance his skills by training with some of the nation’s top shooters and tacticians.

The Night Fighter Rifle course is built for Law Enforcement and Military professionals operating in low light and no light environments. This course is designed to sharpen your ability to fight in the dark — where real threats hide. Through a series of stress-based drills and dynamic problem-solving scenarios, students will be pushed beyond their comfort zone to expose and correct weaknesses in gear setup, fundamentals, and decision-making under pressure.

The "Mid-Range Carbine" class is designed for individuals aiming to improve their skills at distances of 200 to 400 yards. Participants will focus on positional shooting and ballistics, engaging in practical exercises that include zeroing the carbine and targeting at various distances. The course also emphasizes the mental aspects of shooting, helping participants develop focus and a shooting routine. By the end of the class, attendees will gain valuable skills and confidence for real-world scenarios.

This course is designed to teach you essential skills such as zeroing and offset shooting, ready positions, and both emergency and tactical reloads. Learn how to shoot accurately while moving, improve your distance marksmanship, and engage targets effectively at mid-range. Through practical exercises and expert instruction, you'll gain the confidence and proficiency needed for various shooting situations.

This two-day course, exclusively for sworn law enforcement officers, is designed to elevate operational readiness with both rifle and pistol platforms. Day 1 focuses on sharpening core performance fundamentals such as precision marksmanship, recoil control, and efficient weapon handling. Day 2 builds on these skills with advanced tactical problem-solving, including barricade work, dynamic movement under pressure, and strong/support side engagement. Officers will leave with greater confidence, improved speed, and enhanced accuracy in real-world engagements.

Active Violence Response is designed to prepare first responders for real-world active violent incidents. The training is focused on building fundamental skills to give students a working knowledge that will help them be successful at responding to an active scene of violence. Topics include pistol and carbine fundamentals, kinetic movement and shooting, equipment selection and setup, and incident response tactics. Training covers scene approach considerations, breaching, movement to contact, structure entry and clearance (dynamic vs. deliberate), immediate medical interventions, and post-incident considerations. Ideal for those seeking practical, scenario-based training with a focus on weapon fundamentals and manipulations, mental processing and two person tactical considerations.
Open to all first responders.

This intensive course is designed for patrol officers looking to advance their fundamental rifle skills to the next level. It will test their ability to deploy their rifle and engage lethal threats. Students will reinforce core fundamentals and push into advanced applications, including:
-Ready positions & malfunction clearance
-Barricade utilization & target transitions
-Weapon transitions and mid-range engagements
-Dynamic movement and two-person team tactics (break contact, bounding)
-Vehicle bail-out techniques
-Low-light engagement scenarios

Location: Pittsfield Police Department
2 Day Performance Handgun is designed with the intention of correcting flaws in mechanics, manipulations, marksmanship, movement, and processing. This is not a beginner’s course. Attendees should have basic knowledge of weapon safety/handling, and at minimum, be able to hit the A zone of a full-sized IPSC silhouette at 15 yards with no time standard. Students will leave with the tools necessary to continue their journey on being the best handgun shooter they can be.

This advanced pistol course is designed for professionals who carry firearms for personal or professional use. It focuses on developing high-level proficiency and safe handling techniques for real-world scenarios. This course is ideal for law enforcement officers, security personnel, and CCW armed civilians wanting to take pistol and rifle performance beyond fundamentals.
